Chairman of the Board
Jon founded New System as a fledgling janitorial company back in 1977. He was a chemical sales rep for a company from Wisconsin at the time, and began using these products in his own business. He saw a need for janitorial product sales in the St. Louis market, and decided to branch out beyond the one company he had been representing. His janitorial cleaning business grew into a company known as Professional Building Services (PBS). At one time PBS employed hundreds of people, cleaning buildings from downtown St. Louis to Chesterfield, and beyond. During this time Jon branched out to another area of the cleaning industry; providing rental carpet cleaning machines in retail stores for consumers to take home and clean their carpet. Jon’s business grew to a fleet of over 5000 rental machines throughout Missouri, Illinois, and five other southeastern states. During the 1990’s Jon sold his rental business, divested himself of the janitorial company, and put all his efforts into developing New System as a dependable, reliable, service-oriented, customer-focused janitorial supply distributor. In 2004, New System joined Prolink, a national association of privately-owned companies like New System. Jon has served on the Prolink advisory board, and continues as an active member today. Jon is known for keeping New System on the cutting edge of products, equipment, and procedures in the cleaning industry. He is well respected by his personal customers, and his industry associates.
