New System was founded in the Saint Louis metro area in 1971 by Jon Questell.  Starting as a small janitorial cleaning company, New System eventually grew into one of the largest janitorial firms in Saint Louis by the 1990’s.

Another division of New System was started in the 1980’s to distribute rental carpet cleaning equipment through retail establishments.  This division grew to cover not only the greater Saint Louis area, but also parts of six states in the southeastern United States.  At our peak, we maintained over 5,000 carpet extractors for rental in these various areas!

Back in Saint Louis we were also building a Janitorial Sanitary Supply division to add to our holdings.  As time went on, we divested ourselves of the janitorial business, and eventually the carpet care rental business also.  Around the turn of the century, we began to focus solely on having the most up-to-date, progressive, janitorial sanitary supply company in the Midwest.  As such we strive to be a leader in promoting products that are environmentally friendly to our planet.  Our highly experienced sales staff can assist you to find the safest, most effective solutions to your janitorial cleaning challenges.

While we focus on customers in the Central Missouri and Southern Illinois area, New System has customers throughout the United States and even ships products to other parts of the world.

Carpet Express

New System has a long history in the carpet cleaning rental business.  We represent the Carpet Express program in the Midwest region, and have carpet cleaning extraction equipment available for rent in many retail locations.  Carpet Express machines join the deep cleaning and soil removal of the extraction process, with a cylindrical brush to further agitate the carpet fibers and help remove embedded soils.  This easy-to-use machine has a tank capacity larger than other competitive programs, to reduce the number of times you will need to stop, empty the dirty water and refill with clean water.  The heavy duty cylindrical brush is similar to what commercial carpet cleaners use to deep clean carpet fibers.  Unlike other machines, the Carpet Express also has a convenient drain hose to allow you to remove any remaining cleaning solution before you put the unit back into your vehicle to return it to the store!  A full line of carpet cleaning products and spotters are also available at each location.

Since 2003 New System has partnered with Pro-Link, founded in 1984, as a national full-service janitorial supply, marketing, and buying organization. Pro-Link has more than 70 members and over 100 distribution points throughout the United States.

Pro-Link provides its distributor-members and customers with a nationally recognized brand of high quality products and services that help deliver consistently cleaner facilities at lower total costs. Essentially, Pro-Link gives a local company like New System the buying power and sophisticated training and service support that a national company has.  Pro-Link provides our customers with a strong national brand supported by many key manufacturers in our industry at very reasonable prices.  These programs include everything from trash receptacle liners to microfiber flat mopping systems to floor pads to restroom care items and more.  Pro-Link continues to place emphasis on adding Green Cleaning products and training to its core systems.  All this leads to consistently cleaner facilities, lower total costs, and improved Green Cleaning programs for you our valued customers.

Memberships

New System is a long standing member of the ISSA and as such we have a wealth of resources available to us from “The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association.”

As a certified vendor of The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), New System’s contract is available for use by all public and private schools, colleges, universities, cities, counties, and other government entities in the States of Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

We are also proud to be a sponsor of the Saint Louis Regional Chapter of the United States Green Building Council and as such we are working hard to promote products and programs that are Earth friendly.

We participate in the Missouri School Plant Managers Association by exhibiting in the annual association trade show and have been invited to make training presentations to the members at times.

As members of the Missouri Association of School Business Officials  (MoASBO) we help administrators and directors evaluate their school’s maintenance programs, especially with a view to Green Cleaning.

Small schools in Missouri are a critical component of statewide education.  New System participates in the Missouri Association of Rural Education (MARE) to work with superintendents of smaller rural schools and their unique needs and concerns.

And finally, we participate in the Greater Saint Louis Area School Plant Managers Association as a support to the local metro area school districts.
